AIA UK Student Charrette Competition

My university was invited to participate in an AIA architecture competition held in the Building Centre on Store street. A brief proposed to revitalise the area and attract the public down the empty road. AUB created two groups that set out new interventions that hoped to create a reason for access.

My group decided to use a bridge to form a connection from all accessible routes drawing attention to a large oculus that revolves around an area of outside activity. My involvement came through the concepting and modelling phase in a short period of time, using limited resources and finally the dedicated spokesperson and presenter. Working in a team had its constraints but ultimately we came together to create a cohesive argument to satisfy the brief.
